Indian Society of Engineering Geology (ISEG), India National Group of International Association of Engineering Geology and Environment (IAEG) in association with NTPC organized a two-day international conference on “Sustainable Development of Pumped Storage Hydro Power Projects – Geotechnical Challenges” at PMI, Noida on 20th - 21st Nov. The conference was inaugurated by Shri M.A.K.P. Singh, Member (Hydro), CEA in the presence of Shri A. Balan, Member (Planning), CEA, Sh. S S Kothandapani ED to CMD, NTPC, Dr Ranjan Kumar Dahal, Vice-President, IAEG Asia, Prof Arun Kumar, IIT Roorkee and Shri S L Kapil, President, ISEG. The conference was attended by more than 150 delegates from various organizations across India as well as international delegates. In total, 12 keynote addresses and 35 papers were presented by eminent speakers during the conference. Exhibitions were also on display as part of the conference.
